Course FAQ’s
The Scar Therapy Practitioner is the course designed for practitioners who see a variety of clients in their clinic. In attending this course, you’ll still learn about c-sections and cancer scars (just not in so much depth than a specialist course). The Scar Therapy Practitioner is a good general course for anyone looking to add scar massage and fascial release for scar tissue into their clinic, and will give skills to help improve scars.
If you mostly have certain types of clients, a specialist course may suit you better. In these courses, we specifically concentrate on one specialist area. However, you can translate the information and apply the techniques to treat other scars after completion.
If you choose to attend multiple courses, you will refine your skills and techniques each time, whilst looking at how to adapt your skills for different surgery types and locations. I have made it so you can easily jump on at any course, and so if you want to come back and concentrate more specifically on extra ways to help cancer scars or c-sections, then you can grow and develop further. Each course is unique and the supervised clinic sessions mean that you will be getting ‘hands-on’ and treating members of the public to improve their scars each time.
To attend any course, you need a professional physical therapy qualification (minimum level 3) and a years’ experience. This can include (but is not limited to):
- Massage Therapist
- Physiotherapist
- Osteopath
- Chiropractor
- Acupuncturist
- Cranial Therapist
- Fascial and Myofascial Therapist
- Women’s Health Specialist
- Occupational Therapy
