This groundbreaking course is founded on the principle that caesarean birth is not the same as vaginal birth, it is a major abdominal surgical procedure with distinct rehabilitation considerations. Exercise professionals should complete this course to provide clients with a post-caesarean recovery program that highlights the processes of post-operative healing, scar tissue and adhesions and the impact to movement and breathing function. Together with a comprehensive knowledge and protocols for common post-caesarean symptom presentation, through an individualised, assessment-led framework. Provided as an eight week recovery program of eight exercises per week (64 exercises in total) with adaptions and modifications. Option to use the content in group classes or within bespoke and one-to-one settings suitable for pelvic physiotherapy and complex cases of post-caesarean rehabilitation.
