The Restore Therapy Caesarean Scar Specialist course combines online and in-person training to provide you with advanced scar and abdominal massage skills to support recovery and reduce common symptoms. In addition specialist massage for caesarean scars, you will learn how to assess for abdominal separation (diastasis recti), apply diaphragm release and use specialist abdominal massage to promote wellbeing after a Caesarean birth. Master skills to progress treatments for a client by developing a range of skills, from gentle techniques suitable in early recovery to more dynamic techniques for mature scars.

What you will learn from this course
The Restore Caesarean Scar Specialist course will enable you to provide a comprehensive abdominal and scar treatment after caesarean surgery. You can expect to help people with itching, pain, limited movement, cosmetically inferior scars and symptoms associated with internal adhesions. Treatment may not completely resolve issues, but can often provide symptom relief. In early scar healing you will be able to advise on topical products and self-scar care.

The Scar Therapy Practitioner course provides a broader range of practical techniques for scars but is not caesarean specific and does not include abdominal massage. On the Scar Therapy Practitioner you will learn scar massage suitable for caesareans as well as other kinds of surgical or trauma scars. Additionally, the Scar Therapy Practitioner course will include silicone cupping for scars, which can be very effective for adhered, puckered and tight scars and more.
